I am very glad once again to take this opportunity to write to JVP members who sponsored me to school. I want to so that it was not my plan to be taken to a GIRLS BOARDING SCHOOL but it was by God’s grace that I managed to emerge among the sponsored students. As compared to last year, life in school has been alright to myself since I have never been involved in disciplined cases, e.g. taking away someone’s property without her permission.
I enjoy secondary life for some many reasons I enjoy most the subjects for various reasons. My favourite subjects are: L.R.E>, ENGLISH, BIOLOGY and HISTORY. I like the L.R.E. for a number of reasons. It helps me to grow spiritually, I also enjoy it because it helps me to know more about how the world came into existence. HISTORY and BIOLOGY are also enjoyable to me since the teachers are free and understanding.
As a secondary student and a boarder in school sometimes I go through very many challenges and most of the time I go through difficulties and I hardly come to their solution. That’s to says when a teacher is in class and maybe I lack a particular text book for the subject I find it so rough to do the assignment given to us. Another big challenge I have is mostly based on my performance on how I can improve and maintain better position, i.e. 1-20 in each and every exam we do. The last point is about electricity. Most of the times especially during exam days, I rarely get enough time for revision. I don’t have any source of light and fully depend on electricity in school and mostly we do have black-out. I want to appreciate again for the support from JVP for having sponsored and now I am in school.
I know that after schooling, a great change will be seen in my life and even the lives of the less-fortuned will be changed through my testimony of what God has done to me through JVP. Usually I do pray that God may give me the grace to go though my secondary school well and finish it well. I have hopes at changing the situation at our family and bringing it to be better care.
Being away in boarding school is so good and so advantageous because at home, sometimes there is lack of light to help as in our studies time of there is a lot of work that interferes with your studies. Although studying away in boarding makes you miss your parent and beloved ones, it teaches you responsibilities since you will do in your things by yourself and be an independent responsible person.
I would like to say that God works in my life in various ways. Most of the girls in Kager village have never had this opportunity of being in school and more so finishing up their schooling well but to me God has made ways that I may go to school and separated me from the worldly desires that stops most girls from going to school.
My humble request is that whenever you pray, submit me in your prayers so that God may help me to finish my secondary school and get good grade that glorifies the name of the Lord. You also pray for me that the Spirit of Gof may guide, keep, sustain and satisfy my life fully.
